The bee meadow returns

Jim Munro, Chair of the Bishop’s Meadow Trust is asking for your help to recreate the bee meadow which many of you will remember for its fantastic display of wild flowers and the amazing variety of insects which it attracted. In a circular to BMT members he writes:

This year, sowing has been delayed by weather and technical problems, but we are going to do our best to have our bee meadow ready for the Britain in Bloom and the South East in Bloom judges to see. The ground is ready and we have the seed. Now all we need is hands to sow it. We must have the seeds in the ground this coming weekend so on Saturday 14th Maythere will be a seed sowing gathering on the Meadow. Please come for an hour, come for a morning, come for the day – whatever time you can spare will be most welcome. We will meet at Crosby Gate at 9.30am. All tools will be provided but please bring gloves.”
